Climax Cars, a UK based company, has announced the Climax Sports Racer. The Climax Sports Racer comes packed with a 450HP thanks to a supercharged 4.6 liter Ford Racing V8. It weighs only 1,999 pounds and features a fully adjustable double-wishbone suspension, ceramic brakes, and a six speed Graziano GT ME1 gearbox. They come in a British Racing Green finish and will retail for £92,000. The fully-adjustable double wishbone suspension ensures good handling. There is an options list that includes ceramic brakes, full race harnesses, and sequential and semi-automatic gearboxes. The Climax Sports Racer S is able to get from 0 to 60 mph in 3.2 seconds and has a top speed of 190+ mph (305 km/h). Climax Cars will begin assembly of the car in early 2010, with the first units expected to hit the streets sometimes during spring.

Ferrari P540 Superfast Aperta

Inspired by a Luigi Chinetti-owned 330 LM used in an obscure Fellini film, the Ferrari has unveiled a second made-to-order car, P540 Superfast Aperta is a 599 GTB Fiorano-based one-off Pinfinarina designed for the son of the creator of cable TV. The Ferrari P540 Superfast Aperta is based on the chassis of a 599 GTB Fiorano and took 14 months to complete. The P540 is completely road legal and is powered by a 612 hp 6.0-liter V12 engine. Extensive use of carbon fiber allowed the Special Projects engineers to keep weight gain down to only 44 pounds in spite of having to strengthen the open top car.

Stunning Jaguar limousine fit for a 21st century Prime Minister was unveiled in London. Jaguar’s new XJ limousine will carry a hefty premium over the outgoing model when it arrives in Australia in the second quarter of next year. The cheapest 2010 XJ will cost $33,200 more than the car it replaces, while the asking price for the new top-of-the-range V8 model is almost double the current XJ price at $362,800 for the long wheelbase version. The new four-door flagship XJ comes equipped with an array of gizmos and a big panoramic glass roof. Gadgetry includes a high-def TV with dual-view technology on an 8-inch touch screen and a 1,200 Watt Bowers & Wilkins hi-fi with 20 speaker surround sound with iPod docking and voice-control for radio, CD, phone and sat-nav. Interior chrome and piano-black trim – designed to sparkle like jewellery – provide eye-catching contrasts to the wide choice of crafted leather and veneer surfaces. Supermodel Elle MacPherson, who was present during the unveiling of the new luxury XJ, is herself planning to buy one. Jaguar said that the new flagship XJ blends “elegant, contemporary design with comfort, luxury and sporting style.”

Wheelsandmore is a tuning company based in Baesweiler, Germany who specialize in performance and styling modifications for a variety of supercars including Ferrari’s, Lamborghini’s Bentley’s and more. For 2009 the firm has added to their line of Aston Martin performance parts with a cosmetic and engineering package for the DB9 Convertible. First up is a performance upgrade for the 6.0 liter V12 engine with 476 hp and 600 Nm (442 lb-ft) of torque that comes with the production version. Wheelsandmore boosts that by 60 hp while adding 68 Nm (50 lb-ft) of torque too. They’ve done so by tinkering with the ECU and adding a stainless-steel sport exhaust system with 200-cell sport catalysts and noise-volume valve control. The DB9 also gets a new body kit made of polyurethane along with side skirts, front and rear aprons and a rear lid spoiler. The convertible gets fitted with Kahn RS-V 20-inch wheels with Dunlop Sport Maxx performance tires – 255/35/20 for the front 9.0×20 rims and 285/30/20 for the 11.0×20 rear rims.

The Maserati GranCabrio, the first four-seater convertible in the Trident carmaker’s history, will make its world wide debut on September 15 at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show. Maserati says the GranCabrio is “designed and built for men and women who love to live life in an understated though sophisticated manner.” The car’s ride comfort will surely be aided by Maserati’s claim that the GranCabrio is “the convertible with the longest wheelbase on the market.” The GranCabrio won’t be too understated, though, as its motivational force comes from the sportier GranTurismo S coupe’s 4.7-liter 433-bhp V-8. The elegant, created by Pininfarina design, as well as contributes to the spacious interior, the craftsmanship with meticulous attention to detail and performance.  The Maserati GranCabrio enriches all five senses in a shared open-air experience, without sacrificing comfort and performance.

Conceived by a visionary industrial artist, brought to life by some of the worlds leading automotive engineers and designers, and proven on some of the most demanding race tracks in America, the all-new 2010 Devon GTX stands ready to stake claim as the next great American supercar. The Devon GTX is expected to come packed with an 8.4-liter V10 engine that has been sourced from the Dodge Viper. It will be powerful enough to tune in 650 horsepowers and will work together with a six-speed manual transmission system. The car body will be on a steel frame that has carbon fiber panels for cover. The front 18-inch front and 19-inch rear wheels have the Michelin Pilo Sport 2 Z-rated tires. Six-piston and four-piston break calipers in the front and rear keep you safe and sound. A quality that was much needed keeping in mind the monstrous capacity of the car’s engine. So far only 36 units will be created every year. The price tag reads $500,000.

Porsche Limited Edition 911 Sport Classic

Porsche lovers can look forward to something at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show. The German sportscar-maker has a long history of creating special editions of its iconic 911 especially, and has followed up on its heritage with the new Sport Classic. The 911 Sport Classic comes exclusively with a six-speed manual gearbox. The powerful Porsche sports car comes packed with a 23 HP engine, lowered suspension and carbon fiber brakes. As for the interior, it comes with a woven and piped down brown leather to appeal to the luxury motorists for stylish driving. There will be only 250 units produced. The price for one will cost around $240,702. Sales of the Porsche 911 Sport Classic are starting in January 2010.

2009 Mercedes McLaren SLR

The most exciting car to debut at the Detroit Auto Show this January could well be the 2009 Mercedes McLaren SLR Stirling Moss. Starting summer 2009, Mercedes-Benz will manufacture the limited-edition McLaren SLR roadsters named after famed Formula 1 racer and Mercedes driver Sir Stirling Moss. The new SLR Stirling Moss comes with 478-kW/650 hp and accelerates its V8 supercharged engine from standstill to 100 km/h in less than 3.5 seconds, and has a top speed of 350 km/h. adding a dash of elegance to the design, to make a unique sports car, the new Silver Arrow’s equipment is sophisticated and decidedly spartan, doing without both a roof and side windows. The exclusive 2009 Mercedes SLR Stirling Moss will come limited to 75 units only. It is priced at 750,000 euros or $1,100,000.

Rolls Royce Updated Phantom Saloon 2009

The Rolls-Royce has released their 2009 model Phantom with a few interesting features. On the outside, the revised Phantom gets a new bumper with a shallower stainless steel grille like those on its two-door compatriots. Rolls has also added such luxury touches as LED lights in the door handles and three new sets of aluminum wheels for customers to choose from. Nothing revolutionary here, as Rolls-Royce has wisely chosen not to mess too much with perfection. The 2009 Rolls-Royce Phantom is 6,749 cc, 6.7 liters, V 12 front engine road wonder costs between $350,000 and $423,000. Production will commence at Goodwood in the spring.
