On average we spend £34. on each pair of shoes and the average woman has around 19 pairs of shoes in their wardrobe at any one time. Hayley Parsons, from Gocompare.com said: ”Women love shoes, this is a fact, so it comes as no surprise to learn that we spend a large part of our disposable income on shoes.

”And while £34.99 isn’t actually that much for one pair of shoes, the average female is actually housing 19 pairs of shoes worth £664.81 at any one time.

The survey found that we buy shoes for a specific purpose and we own around three pairs of heels for formal functions and special occasions. In addition we have six pairs of flip flops, sandals, ballet pumps and wedges for when the sun shines and three pairs of boots for the winter. As well as these we have four pairs for nights out – such as stilettos, kitten heels and knee highs. And girls have two pair of sensible work shoes and another two ‘random’ purchases.

The study also revealed one in four women own at least one pair of designer shoes – while 53 per cent wish they did. And the most desirable shoe labels well that will be Jimmy Choos, Christian Louboutin and Manolo Blanik.

For over a third of those surveyed their shoes were the most important part of their outfits. So what should you be spending that £35 on this season? Climax Cars, a UK based company, has announced the Climax Sports Racer. The Climax Sports Racer comes packed with a 450HP thanks to a supercharged 4.6 liter Ford Racing V8. It weighs only 1,999 pounds and features a fully adjustable double-wishbone suspension, ceramic brakes, and a six speed Graziano GT ME1 gearbox. They come in a British Racing Green finish and will retail for £92,000. The fully-adjustable double wishbone suspension ensures good handling. There is an options list that includes ceramic brakes, full race harnesses, and sequential and semi-automatic gearboxes. The Climax Sports Racer S is able to get from 0 to 60 mph in 3.2 seconds and has a top speed of 190+ mph (305 km/h). Climax Cars will begin assembly of the car in early 2010, with the first units expected to hit the streets sometimes during spring.

For the first time in the history of Louis XIII, cellar master Pierrette Trichet has decided to present one cask as a special edition to be enjoyed by connoisseurs. The first edition comprises 786 numbered decanters each designated ‘43.8’ for the alcoholic strength that is the distinguishing mark of the cask. The refreshing new decanter also comes handcrafted in black crystal, which requires more than 50 operations by some 20 Baccarat artisans. The neck of the decanter is dressed in palladium, and the decanter comes encased in a coffret forged in metal. Mirrors and internal lighting magnify the luster of the black crystal, and the metal clasp at the neck of the decanter, designed to secure the black crystal stopper further, accentuates the luxury design.

To mark its 150th anniversary, TAG Heuer will re-issue the Silverstone Chronograph in February 2010 as a limited edition piece. Originally introduced in 1974, the Silverstone is instantly recognizable by its cushion cut-shaped case. Just like the Swiss brand has initially promised, the 2010 TAG Heuer Silverstone Chronograph is almost identical to the original model both inside and outside. Powered by an updated version of the Calibre 11 with Dubois-Depraz module, the new Silverstone chronograph will be available in blue or brown dial version, with each version limited to 1,500 pieces. And the new Silverstone chronograph will come with matching perforated alligator straps and stainless steel cases. The new Silverstone’s only problem is its price. Limiting its total production run to only 1500 pieces, TAG Heuer plans to charge as high as $6500 for this beauty.

Inspired by a Luigi Chinetti-owned 330 LM used in an obscure Fellini film, the Ferrari has unveiled a second made-to-order car, P540 Superfast Aperta is a 599 GTB Fiorano-based one-off Pinfinarina designed for the son of the creator of cable TV. The Ferrari P540 Superfast Aperta is based on the chassis of a 599 GTB Fiorano and took 14 months to complete. The P540 is completely road legal and is powered by a 612 hp 6.0-liter V12 engine. Extensive use of carbon fiber allowed the Special Projects engineers to keep weight gain down to only 44 pounds in spite of having to strengthen the open top car.

Oceanco is one of the world’s most successful yacht builders. The company has yacht building facility in the Netherlands and design and sales office in Monaco. Dutch yachtbuilder Oceanco recently unveiled its largest model to date, the 85.6-metre Y708, dubbed the most advanced superyacht the company has ever put into production. The new super yacht is expected to be completed in 2012 at an approximate cost of $150 million. The aft deck features a swimming pool that converts to a helipad while luxe flourishes include a sushi bar, cigar bar and library. The yacht has four guest cabins, two VIP suites and a master suite on its own deck with a salon, study, turbo jet whirlpool and wraparound balconies.
