Tag Heuer has released the Tag Heuer Monaco V4 Watch, the world’s first belt-driven, ball bearing timepiece. Because the watch requires no gears to operate, it’s more efficient, with less vibrations, than a traditional watch. And TAG Heuer is obviously eager to show off its new take on watch construction, with the inner workings exposed, forming the backdrop for stylish blue hands The mechanics on this thing are truly amazing, a system never before seen in a watch like this. Power is stored in four barrels that are seen in the rear of the watch (hence the V4 name). The power reserve is 52 hours, and the watch is actually very accurate at about plus or minus 4 seconds a day. To be released in a limited run of 150 units, this revolutionary wrist watch is available for 55,000 Euros on the market, for roughly $80,000.
